Abstract

This study is qualitative research aimed at analyzing students' perceptions of the use of the Quizizz application in English learning at SMAN 1 Banda Aceh. The main focus of this research is to understand how students evaluate the effectiveness of the application in supporting the learning process.
Through conducted interviews, it was found that some participants felt that Quizizz was overly focused on evaluation aspects and lacked depth in helping students understand learning materials. This study utilized interview guidelines as the primary instrument for data collection, applied to eight students as a sample.
The data analysis process was carried out using the flow model approach, which includes several key stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings of this study indicate that despite its shortcomings, Quizizz positively impacts students' motivation and engagement in learning English.
Thus, while in-depth understanding remains a challenge, Quizizz contributes to increasing students' enthusiasm and participation in learning, making it a potentially valuable technology-based educational tool.
