HUBUNGAN POLA ASUH ORANGTUA DENGAN PERKEMBANGAN EMOSI ANAK USIA 3-5 TAHUN DI DESA KUTA BLANG KOTA LHOKSEUMAWE

The influence of the family in the formation and development of emotions is very important. Many factors in the family influence the process of child development, such as the child's social emotional development which can be formed from the family environment and the environment around the child. This attitude is reflected in the parenting pattern for their children. Every parent has a certain parenting pattern. In addition, parents have the right to participate in choosing educational units and obtaining information about the development of their children's education. Parenting patterns have an important influence on children's emotional development. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between parenting patterns and the emotional development of children aged 3-5 years in Kuta Blang Village, Lhokseumawe City in 2024. This type of research is This type of research is an analytical observational study using a cross-sectional approach method. The population in this study were mothers of toddlers aged 3-5 in Kuta Blang Village, Lhokseumawe City totaling 178 people and the sample of this study were all mothers of toddlers with a total of 122 after using the minimum sample formula. The results of the study showed that respondents who had good parenting patterns were 95 people, those with problematic emotional development were 7 people (7.3%) and those with non-
problematic emotional development were 88 people (92.7%), those with poor parenting patterns were 27 people, those with problematic development were 21 people (77.7%), and those without problems were 6 people (22.3%). The results of the chi square statistical test obtained p = 0.000 <0.05, meaning that parenting patterns have a relationship with the emotional development of children aged 3-5 years in Kuta Blang Village, Lhokseumawe City in 2024. It is hoped that it can be knowledge about the impact of parenting patterns on the emotional development of children aged 3-5 years so that it can improve the quality of child development.
