Abstract
The investigation of the coaching strategy to win English speech at senior high schools in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar (SMAN Modal Bangsa Aceh, SMAN 10 Fajar Harapan Banda Aceh and SMAS Laboratorium Unsyiah Banda Aceh). Thesis, English Departement, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Adviser I. Mulyadi Syahputra, M. Pd., Adviser II. Mulyani, M.Pd. M. TESOL.
This research was conducted to investigate the speech coaching process at several high schools. The speech coaching process is must be prepared well to get the best results. The research to know the strategy of the coaching of speech so that the students representative can be a winner in a speech contests. The research method are interview guideline, observation guideline and document analysis. The result obtained are the way of the trainer in coaching the speech, the difficulties in coaching speech and the students preparation in entered the competition. The teacher also make a good discussion and collaboration with the students and find the best time to practice, the teacher as the guide also make an evaluation and invited the senior to coach them in practice, the senior share their experiences and their tips how to be a winner in a contest.
