Abstract

The language program is one of the main programs at Dayah Darul Ihsan Islamic Boarding School. This study aims to find out the students’ perceptions of the Morning Conversation Program at Dayah Darul Ihsan Islamic Boarding School.
This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive qualitative design. The subjects of this study consisted of 10 students. Data were collected through
interviews and documentation. The findings reveal that the Morning Conversation Program is generally perceived positively by students and contributes to their English language development, particularly in speaking skills, vocabulary mastery, and self-confidence. However, several students suggested improvements, such as the inclusion of listening activities, more structured conversation topics, and clearer guidance on pronunciation and reading, so that the program can be further optimized through more focused learning strategies.
